Building a strong foundation for a life-long joyful yoga practice is the focus of our Yoga Basic I and Yoga Basic II Workshops.

Yoga Basic I Workshop

This workshop will introduce the basics of yoga from the ground up. Geared for the beginner or those curious about yoga, it is designed to provide the basis necessary to continue to our Level 1 or Level 1/2 classes. Explore alignment and breathing along with basic poses and centering. The basic flow of vinyasa yoga will be introduced. Mats are provided for use during our Basics Classes and Workshops.

Yoga Basics II Workshop

Looking for a deeper understanding of the flow and breath of Vinyasa Yoga? This workshop is specifically designed to clarify the dynamics of the flow and your understanding of alignment and form in establishing a foundation for a steady, joyful yoga practice. This workshop will include an in-depth look into sun salutes, standing postures, twists, forward and back bends, inversions and breathwork. Perfect for students who have taken the Basics I Workshop, or anyone who is looking to move more deeply into their yoga practice.

Basics of Vinyasa Series -4 wk enrolled

This 4 week course is designed for those who are interested in learning with precision and safety the foundation of the vinyasa yoga practice. Breath and alignment will be highlighted throughout this course that sequentially teaches appropriate warmup for the body, downward dog, half and full sun salute variations, standing poses and forward folds, backbends and inversions. The use of props and modifications will be addressed as well. This is an enrolled class, we cannot give refunds for missed classes, or allow partial enrollment.

Any of the Gentle, Yoga Basics Yoga Level 1 or Level 1/2 classes at Yogasphere are excellent choices for students who want to build their own yoga program. Be sure to introduce yourself to the class instructor and let them know you are new Yoga. Our instructors are highly trained and qualified to guide our new students in a supportive and nuturing manner.
