Fun Curry Quesadilla

How to maintain a healthy diet with a busy lifestyle….

I hear questions of concern about this topic from the majority of people I encounter. Today I will express an idea of mine that has helped me the past decade.

Patterns… love em, hate em… we create them.

(ouch, the truth hurts sometimes doesn’t it? )

So just as we hold patterns in our yoga practice, we hold patterns in our lifestyle with food. Right? Just think for a moment your typical breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks ect… and maybe journal patterns. Create a judgement-free zone to reflect back and acknowledge what has worked, and maybe areas that need some attention.

My main tip today friends, is to try to prepare and be well stocked with healthy foods. Try new healthy foods, and keep the old ones; but try to be in the flow of what your body really needs.

True story: A few years ago when I first found a vegan cheese called Dayia, I would eat vegan quesadillas most days of the week.  Literally, I would never get sick of it and that pattern became quite scarey to say the least.

Fun Facts:

#1 I still eat vegan quesadillas… but with a spark these days….

#2 I have a curry fetish! 🙂

So here is what I treated myself with today for lunch after an awesome Yoga Class with Laura.

I used a gluten free wrap from Sami’s Bakery, Dayia Cheese, Tofu, Oyster Mushrooms, Fresh Picked Onions, Kale, and Curry Sauce and Hummus.

I encourage you to be creative and try new foods and combinations. You never know how much your taste buds will appreciate it.
