June Pose of the Month ~ Natarajasana ~ Dancing Shiva

From Tadasana~

1. Both feet placed firmly into the earth. Pada bandha.

2. Place right hand on hip firmly planting the right foot into the earth.

3. Reach left arm straight up into the sky.

4. Bend left knee as thighs are level.

5. Extend left arm behind grabbing the inside of the left foot.

6. Gently press the foot into the hand and the hand into the foot creating a counter action.

7. Extend right arm out and lift as high as comfortable.

A beautiful option is gyan mudra, index finger to thumb.

This mudra, hand seal, envokes change.
